The Peugeot 206 had a CC version with a folding hardtop. But what if the modern Dacia Sandero became a convertible?

There is no indication that Dacia is actually even thinking about the possibility of producing a Sandero Cabriolet. However, nothing forbids to fantasise a little about it.

As always with Dacia, the main argument for potential buyers should be a low or at least quite low price. Since the base price of the Sandero starts at 11,300 euros, a price in the region of 20,000 euros for a version with a rigid folding roof seems quite interesting.

As Motor1 notes, with a folding steel roof, the Sandero Cabrio could be used all year round. It would be designed for one or two people, with two formal seats for children in the back and a small boot.

If we fantasise a little more, we can assume that Dacia will abandon the weakest units with less than 100bhp. In that case, the Sandero with folding roof will be left with a 1.0-litre petrol version with 110bhp.
