The new electric car with the strange name is available on the Chinese market in four versions, both with an all-electric powertrain and an EREV version with a petrol range extender.

Dongfeng eπ 007 is a new sedan with a 5-seat saloon configuration. The length of the car is 4,880 mm and the wheelbase is 2,915 mm. The start of pre-sales in China was announced back on 16 January, and now the prices for all versions of the car have been revealed.

Features of the eπ 007 include frameless doors, hidden door handles and an electrically operated rear wing that automatically adjusts according to the speed of the car, reducing the coefficient of aerodynamic drag (Cd) to 0.209. The cabin features a 15.6-inch centre screen and an 8.8-inch instrument panel. The on-board SOA operating system is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 processor.

The Dongfeng eπ 007 200 Pro is an extended range electric vehicle (EREV), with a 1.5 litre petrol engine acting as a generator and not connected to the wheels. The sedan is powered by an electric motor with an output of 160 kW (217 hp) and 310 Nm of torque. This version has a battery with a capacity of 28.39 kWh. In the Chinese CLTC test cycle, a full battery charge is sufficient for 200 kilometres of driving. If the internal combustion engine is engaged, the range increases to 1,200 kilometres. The price for the 200 Pro starts at 159,600 yuan ($22,200).

The all-electric eπ 007 530 Pro costs from 166,600 yuan ($23,200). It has a 56.83 kWh battery, which is enough for 530 kilometres of driving. The electric motor in the 530 Pro is the same as in the 200 Pro, it is mounted on the rear axle. The starting price is from 166,600 yuan ($23,200).

Another all-electric version called 620 Pro is equipped with a 70.26 kWh battery, which is enough for a range of 620 kilometres. The single rear electric motor has a power output of 200 kW (272 hp) and 320 Nm of torque. The car is priced from 179,600 yuan ($25,000).

The top version of the Dongfeng eπ 007 540 Max has an all-wheel drive system based on two electric motors. Their combined output reaches 400 kW (544 hp) and maximum torque of 640 Nm. The LFP battery with a capacity of 70.26 kWh provides a range of 540 kilometres. Prices start at 199,600 yuan ($27,800).

In China, the new Dongfeng eπ 007 will compete with electric cars such as the Zeekr 007, Xpeng P7, Deepal SL03, Leapmotor C01, Neta S, BYD Seal and the updated Tesla Model 3.
