BYD will unveil an updated version of the Dolphin electric car called Honor Edition in China on 23 February.

The 2023 model year BYD Dolphin hatchback is equipped with a 45 kWh LFP battery. This car has a range of 420 kilometres in the CLTC cycle. According to Chinese media, with the upcoming 2024 update, the Dolphin will get a new configuration with a 60 kWh battery and a range of 520 kilometres

The engine will remain unchanged with 70 kW of power and 180 Nm of peak torque. The dimensions of the car will also remain unchanged: length 4,125 mm and wheelbase 2,700 mm.

Inside the hatchback, several innovations are expected. First of all, upgraded seats with optional ventilation (front), USB Type-C and a 50 kW wireless charging pad.

The updated Dolphin will be cheaper than the 2023 version. Exact prices are not yet available. Right now, the BYD Dolphin costs from 104,800 yuan ($14,500) in China.
