Chinese company NIO has demonstrated the capabilities of the SkyRide smart chassis of the new ET9 electric sedan. In the video, which was originally published on Weibo, the car swings intensely from side to side. These rhythmic movements help to throw most of the snow off the car.
Probably, if the snow thaws a bit and then turns into ice, the usefulness of such a feature will be less. But in any case, this performance looks at least unusual.
Nio ET9
The NIO ET9 will be an "ultra luxury" electric car that is supposed to be a competitor to the Mercedes-EQS, BMW i7 and Porsche Taycan.
The ET9 will start at around 800,000 yuan ($112,000). The car is already available for pre-order in China, although the first deliveries won't take place until early 2025.
