The magnificent BMW Concept Touring Coupe will remain a one-off.

BMW unveiled the sleek Concept Touring Coupe at the 2023 Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este in Italy. There were rumours that this concept would be reborn as a limited edition car. However, as BMWBlog reports, the company's management never gave the project the green light.

According to the publication's sources, BMW even developed a business case for the car, which included the production of 50 copies at a price of $250,000 each. But even that would not have been enough to reach the level of profitability.

In the concept, the BMW Z4's retractable roof has been replaced by a rigid roof with a Hofmeister curve, wider wings and a practical boot. BMW also changed the grille by installing twin vertical slats. The car rested on 20-inch and 21-inch wheels with rims in a silver-bronze design.

Two-tone light brown leather upholstery from an Italian workshop was chosen for the interior design. The interior is otherwise unchanged from the standard Z4. Unfortunately, the painstaking work of the designers remained a unique creation.
