Judging by the neck insulation, the seat is taken from a BMW M8 convertible.

BMW could diversify its revenue sources by starting to sell office chairs converted from car seats. However, that's not going to happen. The company emphasised that the chair concept shown on Instagram is just a demo and it is not intended for retail sale.

According to BMW Blog, the office transformer chair from M8 is created by an independent company. Namely, the Ukrainian Metal Works Studio, which specialises in making interior elements based on car parts.

BMW is rumoured to be phasing out the entire 8 Series in the next two years. In the new generation, there is a chance of a four-door Gran Coupe on the Neue Klasse electric platform. And here coupe and cabriolet, most likely, will become a part of the history of the Bavarian manufacturer at all.
