Chargers with a capacity of up to 500 kW can charge electric vehicles at 2,400 mph (3,862 km/h).

Google-backed infrastructure startup Gravity Mobility has opened the fastest electric vehicle charging facility in the US in New York City. Fleet operators will have access to 24 500kW chargers that can charge electric vehicles at 2,400mph (3,862km/h)) or 200 miles (321km) in five minutes.

The company is capable of building and installing thousands of such chargers each year and is already planning to expand its network. Gravity Mobility is currently focused on raising additional funds to expand its network of high-speed charging stations across the United States.

Gravity's chargers are compact in size and outperform most current electric vehicles. Gravity's chargers are larger than most electric vehicles with charging capacities up to 350 kW. However, future electric vehicle models are expected to support higher charging capacities, making Gravity Mobility's chargers more promising.
