Renault plans to start deliveries of the new Renault 5 E-Tech to customers in September or October 2024.

Renault has announced that there are already waiting customers for its new all-electric 5 E-Tech car - the number has reached 50,000. Deliveries of this model are scheduled to start in autumn, in September or October.

The Renault 5 E-Tech will be available at a price of around 25,000 euros. The design of this car is based on the original Renault 5 and it is the company's first small electric car after the Zoe model, which was launched ten years ago.

Renault's brand head, Fabrice Cambolive, is confident that the Renault 5 E-Tech will have many new customers and the company is also hoping to convert Zoe owners to this new model. He said that the company aims to increase production smoothly and manage to deliver the first cars before October.

The Renault 5 E-Tech will be offered as an alternative to the Clio model, which was the second best-selling small car in Europe last year.

The car is based on the AmpR Small platform, based on the CMF-B architecture used in the Clio and Captur. Buyers will be able to choose between a 40 kWh battery and a higher capacity 52 kWh unit that provides a range of up to 400 kilometres. These units offer support for DC fast charging up to 80kW and 100kW respectively.
