The Volkswagen Polo Robust combines raised suspension, vinyl seats, rubber floor mats and a low-powered petrol engine without a turbo.

The Volkswagen Polo will celebrate its 50th anniversary next year. In honour of this event, the company's Brazilian division has introduced a special version of the Polo called Polo Robust. This crossover has been specially designed for farmers and has increased ground clearance to cope with difficult roads.

The Polo Robust features vinyl seats that are easy to wash after working on the farm, rubber floor mats and a trailer hitch. Under the bonnet, however, it has a 1.0-litre engine that sends power to the front wheels via a manual gearbox, with just 84 horsepower and 101 Nm of torque.

The Polo Robust is priced at around $17,800 in Brazil.
