As we reported earlier, American electric vehicle manufacturer Rivian today unveiled two new models: the R2 SUV and the R3 compact crossover. Both will be available in single-engine, twin-engine and tri-engine versions. At the same time, only for the R3 is promised a performance version called R3X.
Details about the sporty crossover are still scarce, but it is known that it will have a three-motor installation. And while the R2 can travel 300 miles (482 kilometres) on a single charge and accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (0-96 km/h) in less than three seconds, the R3X should be even more dynamic.

In terms of design, the Rivian R3X looks more aggressive than the regular Rivian R3. It has larger wheels, extra protection on the wheel arches and sills, different bumpers, orange accents and slightly increased ground clearance. The interior features black and beige seats with silver and orange coloured metal inserts. Also in interior design environmentally friendly materials such as cork wood are widely used.
So far, this is all information about Rivian R3X. Presumably, the performance electric crossover will appear after 2026.
