Tesla has reduced the monthly subscription cost for its Full-Self Driving (FSD) feature from $199 to $99. The outright purchase option remains priced at $12,000.

Formerly marketed as in its "beta" phase, Tesla has now removed this term from its FSD advertising. This shift reflects a stance that although improvements are ongoing, the product is reliable for regular use.

To encourage trial and adoption of the upgraded FSD Version V12.3.1, Tesla is now offering a free one-month test period at Tesla stores nationwide. Before receiving their vehicles, customers can experience FSD through a brief test drive.

Additionally, when returning vehicles from service, Tesla technicians showcase the FSD system to car owners. This initiative helps customers understand the features firsthand.

Subscribers can cancel the service anytime. This flexibility ensures that users can evaluate the system without being tied to a long-term financial commitment.

Regarding broader industry integration, CEO Elon Musk stated that Tesla is willing to license FSD technology to other automakers. As of now, no companies have taken up this offer.
