Audi is set to unveil the new Q6L e-tron at Auto China on April 24. This electric vehicle, featuring an extended wheelbase, is tailored specifically for the Chinese market. The reveal will take place during the Volkswagen Group Night event.

The Q6L e-tron is a long-wheelbase electric crossover designed to cater to the preferences of Chinese customers. Prior to its unveiling, images of the vehicle covered with a sheet were released, keeping many details hidden but generating buzz about its design and features.

The production of the Audi Q6L e-tron will occur at the Audi FAW NEV factory in Changchun, China. It is expected that this model will share similar powertrains with the standard model, possibly including options like a 100 kWh battery and a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system that delivers 387 hp (285 kW).

Besides the Q6L e-tron, Audi will also showcase other models specifically for China, such as the SQ6 and a special edition of the Q5 e-tron RS.

During this event, Audi will also present an electric roadmap highlighting their strategy towards achieving a more extensive electric portfolio in China. The local production focus aligns with Audi’s long-term goals for electrification in key markets.

Gernot Döllner, CEO of Audi, highlighted in his statements: "The Chinese market is central to the transformation of the Audi brand into a leading global provider of premium electric mobility."
