The Hongqi L1, a premium large sedan, combines features reminiscent of Rolls-Royce, Cadillac, and the second-generation Ford Scorpio. It hasn't been officially presented yet, but the photos have been uploaded to China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

This vehicle showcases a blend of design influences from these iconic cars, featuring a large chrome-slatted front grille inspired by Rolls-Royce and headlights similar to those on the Ford Scorpio, upgraded with modern lighting technology.

The car’s dimensions are extensive with a length of 5,353 mm and a wheelbase of 3,260 mm. The profile of the Hongqi L1 echoes that of Rolls-Royce sedans, while the rear design draws inspiration from Cadillac sedans, including chrome trim and a full-width reflector. Additionally, the lower grille sports a complex geometric pattern in black with silver accents.

Under the hood, the Hongqi L1 offers two engine options: a 3.0-liter V6 producing 389 horsepower and a more robust 4.0-liter V8 with an output of 483 horsepower. Both engines are paired with an automatic transmission. The sedan rides on considerable 19-inch wheels available in various designs.

This eclectic mix in its design elements reflects an ambitious attempt by Hongqi to blend luxury with distinctive styling cues from well-established car manufacturers.

The official launch date for the car has yet to be announced, but there is a strong likelihood that it will be showcased at next week’s Beijing Auto Show.
