Milence's charging station for electric trucks is located in Heudebouville, south of Rouen, four minutes from the A13 highway. According to Milence, this route is used by many trucks that travel between Paris and other major logistics hubs in Normandy, such as the container port of Le Havre, but also Caen, Dieppe and Rouen.
The charging park will be developed in two different phases. With the opening of the hub, the first phase is completed. The new charging park has four CCS (Combined Charging System) chargers at four charging bays. There are several third-party facilities nearby, including toilet facilities and a restaurant. The joint venture between three commercial vehicle groups says it is planning a rapid transition to MCS (megawatt charging system) technology as soon as it is available.
The second phase is scheduled to be completed by the end of the year and will include additional loading bays with MCS technology. Milence also wants to operate the sanitary facilities and tailor them to the needs of truck drivers.
Milence's standard charging tariff is 0.399 euros per kWh, excluding VAT and transaction costs. This charging tariff applies to all Milence hubs in all countries. The applicable tariff can be found in the Milence app and is displayed at the charging station.
Milence was founded in July 2022 as a joint venture between Daimler Truck, Traton and Volvo, and the first charging point went into operation in December 2023 in Venlo, the Netherlands.
