Alfa Romeo is opening orders in Germany for the Alfa Romeo Junior, which is currently attracting a lot of attention due to its name change - previously Alfa Romeo Milano.

The new Alfa Romeo Junior is now available to order in Germany. For its market launch, the compact SUV is available in the well-equipped introductory Speciale version. The Alfa Romeo Junior Ibrida Speciale with hybrid technology starts at 31,500 Euros. The 100% electric Alfa Romeo Junior Elettrica Speciale is available from 41,500 Euros.

The new Alfa Romeo Junior Speciale comes with 18-inch alloy wheels, a leather steering wheel, electrically adjustable driver's seat with massage function, electrically operated tailgate with gesture control, keyless entry and engine starter. Rear and side windows are darkened. Ambient lighting, adjustable in eight colours, also highlights the air vents with the historic Alfa Romeo logo.

Connectivity and entertainment on board the new Alfa Romeo Junior Speciale are provided by the Alfa TM Connect infotainment system, which features a 10.1-inch touchscreen and navigation system. Six speakers provide hi-fi quality sound.

The mild hybrid technology of the new Alfa Romeo Junior Ibrida combines a combustion engine with an electric motor. The 1.2-litre petrol engine produces 100 kW (136 hp). In certain driving situations, it is assisted by a 21 kW electric motor powered by a 48-volt lithium-ion battery. This combination reduces fuel consumption to an average of 5.2 litres according to the WLTP cycle. The battery is only recharged while driving, for example through regenerative braking.

The Alfa Romeo Junior Elettrica is equipped with a 54 kWh lithium-ion battery. The introductory Speciale model with 115 kW (equivalent to 156 hp) achieves a combined range of up to 410 kilometres in the WLTP cycle or up to 592 kilometres in pure city driving. A 100kW DC fast charge system recharges the battery from ten to 80 per cent in less than 30 minutes. The new Alfa Romeo Junior Elettrica Speciale also features an 11 kW on-board charger as standard and a heat pump for optimal battery pre-heating.

The introductory Speciale is a limited edition to celebrate the launch of the Alfa Romeo Junior. Orders for other non-limited versions, including the Elettrica 240 Veloce performance version, are expected to open in June 2024. The starting price for the Alfa Romeo Junior Ibrida will be 29,500 Euros and for the Alfa Romeo Junior Elettrica 39,500 Euros.
