The new BMW M4 CS has become the second-fastest production BMW to record a lap time at the Nürburgring. The vehicle clocked 7 minutes and 21.99 seconds on the renowned Nordschleife loop. This feat was achieved with its powerful 550-horsepower twin-turbocharged inline-six engine and CS-specific suspension tuning.
Compared to the current fastest model, the BMW M4 CSL, which set a record lap time of 7:20.20 in 2022 for the 20.832-kilometre (12.943-mile) loop, the M4 CS displays impressive performance potential. The release of an in-car run video highlighted these capabilities, suggesting the driver might find an additional two seconds for improvement.
The BMW M4 CS will start production in July at the BMW Group Plant Dingolfing, with order books opening at the end of May. The base price in Germany for this speedy model is set at 160,000 euros, including a 19% VAT.
