Jeep's current Avenger model is available only in front-wheel drive. The newly spied Avenger 4xe promises to switch things up with its all-wheel drive system. The production model, previewed by a 2022 concept, follows in the footsteps of the standard Avenger but adds a roof rack that hints at its rugged nature. Earlier this year, Jeep detailed features of the Avenger's powertrain which includes a six-speed dual-clutch transmission system paired with two electric motors each generating 29 horsepower, supplemented by a primary engine producing 136 hp. This setup also involves a 48V mild hybrid system enabling AWD functionality and pure electric drive at lower speeds.
