Frank-Steffen Walliser, known for his pivotal role in developing the Porsche 918 Spyder, has been appointed as the new CEO of Bentley. He will start his new role on July 1, 2024. Walliser takes over from Adrian Hallmark, who moved to Aston Martin in March.

Walliser joins Bentley after an impressive tenure at Porsche, where he recently served as the head of overall vehicle development. His career at Porsche included roles such as project leader for the Porsche 918 Spyder and manager of the Porsche 911 and 718 lines. Walliser's extensive background in engineering is further highlighted by his doctoral degree in mechanical engineering.

Upon confirming his appointment, Frank-Steffen Walliser expressed enthusiasm about his new position at Bentley. "I am approaching this job with great respect and looking forward to having a team in Crewe that has shown impressive performance over the last few years," he stated. Walliser also emphasized the importance of addressing the continuing transformation of the automotive industry, particularly at Bentley.

Gernot Dollner, CEO and head of Volkswagen's Brand Progressive Group which includes Audi—Bentley’s parent company—praised Walliser's valuable experience. Dollner remarked, "In Frank-Steffen Walliser, Bentley is getting an experienced engineer with distinct product and technology expertise and entrepreneurial experience who brought brand-defining models to the streets at Porsche."
