Lamborghini is set to unveil the successor to the Huracan model in August 2024. This new sports car will feature a V8 engine combined with an electric motor, achieving a total output of over 900 horsepower. The company's CEO, Stephan Winkelmann, recently disclosed this information on LinkedIn.

The upcoming supercar from Lamborghini will harness power from a 4.0-liter V8 engine capable of 800 horsepower. The engine's performance peaks at a range between 9000 and 9750 RPM for power and 4000 to 7000 RPM for torque, delivering an impressive 730 Nm of torque. Additionally, the electric motor positioned between the V8 engine and the dual-clutch transmission contributes an additional 150 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque.

Stephan Winkelmann, CEO of Lamborghini, discussed specifics about the innovative power combination on his LinkedIn page. He detailed how the combined force of the conventional combustion engine and electric motors would function together to propel their next-generation vehicles.

While providing glimpses into future offerings, Lamborghini is pushing the envelope further than it did with previous models like the Countach LPI 800-4 which features a total of 814 horsepower through its V12 engine and hybrid system. Although powerful, these specifications still fall short compared to what’s anticipated from its next creation.
