Despite these reductions in entry-level prices, Mazda has increased the costs of other versions in both hatchback and sedan formats. For some higher-end models like the 2.5 S Preferred, Carbon Edition, Carbon Turbo, and Turbo Premium Plus, prices have risen compared to last year. The only unchanged price within the sedan range is that of the S Select Sport.
The engine options for the Mazda3 remain robust and diverse. The standard motor is a Skyactiv-G 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine delivering 191 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque with options for six-speed automatic or manual transmission. There's also a more powerful turbo engine available which reaches up to 250 horsepower and 320 pound-feet of torque on high-octane fuel.
Additional features next year include all-wheel-drive availability on certain models such as the Carbon Edition with a naturally aspirated engine. The technology offerings are also expanding with more models now including Alexa Built-In from the Select Sport packages upwards. Moreover, new paints like Soul Red Crystal Metallic and Machine Gray Metallic can be added at an additional cost.
Considering price history, the recent reductions come after significant hikes in 2024 across most model variants when compared to pricing structures seen in years prior to that such as in 2023 when base prices were approximately two thousand dollars lower even after accounting for destination fees.
