The recall affects all versions of the Karma Revero: GT, GS-6, GTS, GS-6s and GS-6L.
The fault is caused by problems in the turn signal indicator electrical circuit and software. It turned out that the turn signals of the front headlights remain active longer than required by the electronic control unit. This caused an error to occur in the system.
Drivers noticed the problem by a warning indicator on the dashboard or rapidly flashing turn signals. As a temporary solution to the problem, the manufacturer recommended resetting the turn signals.
Fortunately, there have been no reports of injuries or damage related to this recall.
To address the issue, Karma will install new headlights and software updates on the hybrid vehicles at no charge. Service for the affected vehicles will begin in the US on 25 July.
Karma Automotive emerged from the remains of Fisker Automotive, and the Karma Revero sedan is an updated and refined Fisker Karma.
