The Volvo V60 will feature engine options including a 2.0-litre mild-hybrid petrol engine delivering 197bhp and achieving 0-62mph in 7.6 seconds. Another option is a petrol plug-in hybrid with either 350bhp or 455bhp. The larger V90 will be available solely as a plug-in hybrid, capable of 0-62mph in just 5.5 seconds and offering an electric range of up to 36 miles.
Pricing details for the reintroduced models are expected to be announced soon. Historically, prices were set at £47,750 for the V60 mild hybrid and £57,580 for its plug-in hybrid version. The V90 plug-in hybrid was priced at £62,220.
A Volvo spokesperson stated, "We removed the V60 and V90 from sale in the UK last August amid falling appetite for estate cars. While this remains a long-term trend, we have seen a resurgence for our estate products in recent months and have decided to reintroduce the V60 and V90 to our UK portfolio in response to this. We will begin taking orders next month."
Despite the comeback, there is uncertainty about how long the V60 and V90 will remain on sale, considering they are nearing the end of their product life cycles.
