The Land Rover Defender family has a new, most powerful, and quickest model called the OCTA. It will debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed next weekend.

The Defender OCTA features a BMW-sourced 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 with mild-hybrid technology, producing 635 PS (626 hp) and up to 750Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque with launch control engaged. It accelerates 0-100km/h (0-62 mph) in 4.0 seconds, making it the fastest Defender ever.

Despite its speed, the Defender OCTA maintains its off-road capabilities. It sits 28 mm (1.1 inches) higher and has a 68 mm (2.7-inch) wider stance than other models. It features longer and tougher wishbones, 6D Dynamics suspension technology, and a system that detects and optimizes for different driving surfaces. There’s also a new 'OCTA' driving mode with Off-Road Launch control and tweaked ABS for loose surfaces.

Visually, the OCTA stands out with 33-inch Goodyear Advanced All-Terrain tires, flared wheel arches, a revised front fascia, and a new rear bumper with quad tailpipes. It features a two-tone paint scheme with a Narvik Black roof and tailgate, and an optional matte protection film.

Inside, there are two new Ultrafabric options and standard Burnt Sienna semi-aniline leather with Kvadrat textile trim. It also includes new seats and an audio system designed to let front passengers "feel, as well as hear, the music."

UK indicative price starts at £145,300 (OTR). The New Defender OCTA Edition One, available in its first year of production, is expected to be priced from £160,800 (OTR). Prices in Germany start from 185,000 Euro.

U.S. prices start at $152,000, while the Defender OCTA Edition One variant, priced from $167,800.
