The Tesla Cybertruck has seen various digital camper conversions, but a U.S. company called Cybertruck Co claims to have created the first production-intent prototype of a rear shell, transforming the electric truck into a camper or van.

This accessory is based on a modular rack that can be configured with a pop-up tent featuring a pass-through door at the back. The tent includes a 3-inch-thick memory foam mattress measuring 48 x 88 inches (1,219 x 2,235 mm). When closed, the tent maintains the Cybertruck's angular design, similar to Space Campers' advertised version. Options with polycarbonate windows, stainless steel, or aluminum walls will be available.

Cybertruck Co also plans to offer the modular rack separately, allowing customers to mount their own gear or use it for personal projects. There will be four different sidewall options and three different roof options.

Photos of the prototype, shared by user Roger Davis on the Cybertruck Owners Club, show the camper conversion with off-road lights from Baja Designs. The camper is currently on a media tour across the U.S., testing its real-life performance.

The canopy will be available for purchase on the official website in two weeks, with an estimated delivery time of 30 days. Prices will start at around $1,500 for the modular rack frame, with topper and camper options costing more. This product appears more practical and user-friendly compared to Tesla’s own Basecamp Tent, which costs $3,000.
