Honda has introduced a new addition to its electric ecosystem in Japan: the Honda Power Pod e:. This 1,500W all-electric generator is designed to work with Honda's swappable Mobile Power Pack e:, which has already been integrated into various electric vehicles and equipment, including the Benly e:, Gyro e:, and Gyro Canopy e: delivery vehicles, as well as light construction equipment from Komatsu and tourist boats.

The Honda Power Pod e: allows users to charge their devices during emergencies or at remote work sites. It is modular, enabling the use of special parallel cables to operate multiple units simultaneously. The device is also compatible with widely available solar panels, allowing for continuous power generation and storage as long as sunlight is available. This feature makes it possible to keep Mobile Power Pack e: units charged for use in vehicles or to power other electric devices like computers and smartphones.

Currently, the Honda Power Pod e: is available only in Japan. However, given Honda's commitment to decarbonization, it is likely that the device will eventually be released in other markets as well.
