To facilitate the transition to electric vehicles, customers can choose between a Free2move Level 2 charger or $600 in charging station credits. The Level 2 charger, valued at around $600, is ideal for homeowners, though installation is the customer’s responsibility. To assist with this, the Free2move Charge website features an “installation portal” where users can get an estimate from Qmerit by answering a few questions and uploading photos. This process takes 5-10 minutes and is “commitment-free.” If satisfied, customers can schedule the installation, and the installer will handle any necessary permits.
For those who don’t own a home, the Go Package offers $600 in credits for use at public charging stations nationwide. Stellantis notes that eligible chargers can be found using the Free2move Charge app. The company promises access to over 75,000 charging networks across the U.S., including ChargePoint, Shell Recharge, and EVgo. Ionna stations will also be available later this year.
In addition to the incentive program, Stellantis is educating consumers about EVs. The Free2move Charge app and website aim to support customers before, during, and after the buying process, helping them understand battery-electric vehicles and charging options.
Currently, the site emphasizes the benefits of Level 2 charging, noting that the Free2move charger can deliver up to 9.6 kW of power and includes a 25-foot (7.6-meter) cord.
