Hyundai unveiled the 2025 Tucson at the New York Auto Show and announced a starting price of $28,355, which is $755 more than the previous year. The facelifted crossover boasts numerous enhancements, making it a worthwhile upgrade.

Externally, the Tucson features a refreshed front fascia with a revised grille and a new daytime running light signature, updated wheels, and an improved rear end.

Inside, significant changes include a new dashboard, redesigned center stack, and more physical switchgear. Other updates include a new steering wheel, revamped center console, and a new 12.3-inch infotainment system, promising faster processing speeds, enhanced colors, and sharper graphics.

The base Tucson SE includes an acoustic windshield, LED lighting, and 17-inch alloy wheels. Standard features also comprise push-button ignition, air conditioning, a six-speaker audio system, a 4.2-inch cluster display, and the new 12.3-inch infotainment system.

Driver assistance features are comprehensive, with Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Blind-Spot Collision Warning, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian, Cyclist, and Junction Turning detection, Lane Following / Lane Keeping Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist, Safe Exit Warning, High Beam Assist, Rear Occupant Alert, and a Rear View Monitor with Parking Guidance.

The standard Tucson is powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 187 hp (139 kW / 190 PS) and 178 lb-ft (241 Nm) of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is available for an additional $1,500.

For eco-conscious buyers, the Tucson Hybrid starts at $33,115, featuring a turbocharged 1.6-liter engine, an electric motor, a 1.49 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, and a six-speed automatic transmission, delivering a combined output of 231 hp (172 kW / 234 PS) and 258 lb-ft (349 Nm) of torque.

The Tucson Plug-In Hybrid, priced from $39,380, includes a more powerful electric motor and a larger 13.8 kWh battery pack, resulting in 268 hp (200 kW / 272 PS) and 258 lb-ft (349 Nm) of torque. While Hyundai hasn't disclosed the electric-only range for the 2025 model, it is expected to be similar to the 2024 version's 33 miles (53 km).

The standard Tucson will be available at dealerships this month, with hybrid and plug-in hybrid variants arriving later this summer.
