J.D. Power’s 2024 U.S. Manufacturer Evaluation Study surveyed car buyers and website users, focusing on four factors: information/content, visual appeal, navigation, and speed.

Mercedes-Benz ranked as the top premium brand with a score of 757 out of 1,000. Lexus followed closely with 756, while BMW and Infiniti tied for third at 751. In the mass-market category, Chevrolet led with a score of 758, followed by GMC at 744 and Jeep at 743.

At the lower end, Acura, Jaguar, and Maserati were the worst among premium brands, scoring 724, 720, and 708, respectively, against a luxury segment average of 739. Ford, Mini, and Mitsubishi were the lowest among mass-market brands, with scores of 701, 700, and 685.

It’s important to note that these scores reflect automaker websites, not dealer sites. Automakers control their web presence, influencing the user experience independently of dealer websites, which follow approved templates.

J.D. Power surveyed 10,471 new vehicle shoppers planning to buy a vehicle within the next two years. The study was conducted in May 2024, but as automakers frequently update their websites, the rankings could change significantly by next year.
