Toyota is set to commence production of the 2025 Toyota LandCruiser FJ in November 2024. According to Japan's Best Car, the new downsized 4x4 SUV is targeting a potential launch in early 2025.

The company unveiled plans for this model last November during the debut of the new-generation Toyota Prado. At that event, only a dark silhouette of the LandCruiser FJ was presented.

The upcoming Toyota LandCruiser FJ will be built on an adapted IMV ladder-frame from the Toyota HiLux Champ. It measures 4500 mm in length, 1830 mm in width, and 1850 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2750 mm.

Under the hood, it features a 2.7-litre four-cylinder petrol engine capable of producing 120kW of power and 246 Nm of torque. It competes with vehicles like the Suzuki Jimny and is similar in size to the Toyota Corolla Cross.

Design-wise, the LandCruiser FJ draws inspiration from the 2022 Toyota Compact Cruiser concept. Additionally, future models may include hybrid powertrains.
