The E-Clutch system uses a pair of electric motors to allow riders to shift gears without pulling the clutch lever. This system doesn’t make the motorcycle automatic; riders still need to use the shifter. Honda claims the E-Clutch system simplifies riding and enhances enjoyment for both beginners and experienced riders, while still allowing manual clutch operation.
Initially, the E-Clutch will be available on the 2024 CB650R and the 2024 CBR650R. These models also feature styling updates, LED lighting, and a redesigned thin-film transistor (TFT) digital instrument cluster.
The updated CRB1000RR-R Fireblade SP is set for its American debut as a 2025 model. Benefiting from Honda’s track experience, it boasts a higher compression ratio, shorter gear ratios, updated Öhlins suspension components, and revised Brembo brakes. Its 1.0-liter four-cylinder engine produces 214 horsepower at 14,000 rpm. The CB and CBR range also includes the CBR1000RR, the CBR600RR, and the CB300R, though Honda did not mention the CB500R.
Deliveries will begin in September 2024. Additionally, the 2025 Monkey will be available at the same time, priced at $4,349. Offered only in red, the Monkey combines a fun, retro look with modern features such as ABS brakes and a 125-cc, air-cooled single-cylinder engine.
