Porsche’s popular Roof Tent now has a gazebo companion, the Porsche Canopy Tent. A central valve enables the tent to be inflated in a few minutes. It can then be quickly anchored to the ground using the storm-resistant fastening set with reflective belts. The standard equipment includes a practical hand pump, a side panel with a transparent plastic window, a floor cover with Velcro fasteners, and a vehicle connecting tunnel. The latter is a weatherproof corridor from the canopy tent to the tailgate of a four-door Porsche.
The canopy tent was designed by Studio F.A. Porsche in Zell am See. It has a footprint of 2.30 by 2.30 meters. The side wall with the window has an integrated privacy screen that can be attached to the window. It can be rolled up and fixed with straps when an unobstructed view is preferred.
The square layout of the canopy tent and its sophisticated zip system allow the tent to be extended in a variety of ways. For example, an optionally available extension tent in a steep-face format can be attached to the canopy tent by means of a zip. The inner tent included in this optional extra can be used as a bedroom. Vents with built-in mosquito nets ensure sufficient ventilation. The range of accessories also includes two further side panel variants without a window or with an airy mesh fabric for insect protection. Multiple canopy tents can also be combined with the aid of a connecting element.
The new Porsche Canopy Tent
The all-season, two-person tent comes in an exclusive hardcase that was developed at the Weissach Development Centre and co-designed by Studio F.A. Porsche in Zell am See. The hardcase construction can be installed on the roof transport systems of the 911 (GT, Cabriolet and Targa models not included), Macan, Cayenne, Panamera and Taycan – both with and without roof rails. It is quite the room with a view, with two side windows and a roof window as standard.
The new Porsche Canopy Tent is not yet available in the online store. The price is also not disclosed.
