Dodge has recalled 3,750 of its 2023 Charger and Challenger models. The company found a problem with the left rear seat in these cars.

The issue is with the part that keeps the seat upright. It's not lined up right, so the seat might not stay in place. This could be dangerous for people sitting in the back.

Dodge caught on to this problem last summer. They first saw it in some Chargers made in late June. Then they found the same issue in Challengers built from late July to mid-August.

The recall covers 898 Chargers and 2,852 Challengers. All these cars were made in the summer of 2023.

When Dodge realized what was going on, they decided to do a voluntary recall.

If you own one of these cars, don't worry. Dodge will get in touch with you next month. They'll ask you to bring your car to a dealer. At the dealer, they'll check your car's rear seat. If it needs fixing, they'll adjust it for free. This will make sure the seat stays in place like it should.

Dodge is taking this step to keep everyone safe. Even if you haven't had any problems with your rear seat, it's a good idea to get it checked when Dodge calls.

The NHTSA number for this recall is 24V574000.
