The company cleared its social media pages and posted a new message: "All Will Be Vanquished." They also added a picture of blue skies and a mountain range. On their website, Aston Martin shared a 34-second audio clip of the new V12 engine's sound.
The new Vanquish will have a twin-turbocharged V12 engine. Aston Martin has made many improvements to this engine. They've strengthened the block, added new conrods, redesigned the top-end, and improved the turbochargers. The camshafts have been changed, and the fuel injectors are more powerful. The intake and exhaust ports have also been updated.
All these changes mean the new engine will produce 824 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque. That's a big jump from the DBS 770 Ultimate, which has 760 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque. The engine will have a carbon fiber cover to make it look good.
The sound of the new V12 is described as "very mean." It might not have the same intoxicating growl as the old naturally-aspirated V12s, but it offers better performance, fuel economy, and lower emissions.
As for the car's design, it probably won't look too different from other Aston Martin models. It might look similar to the DB12. We can expect a large black grille at the front, along with a shapely hood and oval-shaped headlights. At the back, there might be small LED taillights that look different from any other Aston Martin.
Aston Martin hasn't said exactly when they'll show the new Vanquish, but they've hinted it's "Coming Soon." We'll likely see the full reveal before the end of this year.
