Tesla's Cybertruck gets a tough new look with the 'Sting' upgrade program. Unplugged Performance and Archimedes Defense have teamed up to offer three versions of this military-style package for both government and civilian use.

The base version, called Cybertruck Sting Baja, comes with a bunch of off-road goodies. It's got a 2.5-inch (63.5 mm) lift, a bull bar up front, and armor underneath. They've added LED lights and a satellite internet dish too. The rear bumper's been beefed up, and there's even a generator in the frunk. This generator can run on jet fuel, diesel, or biodiesel and pumps out 125 kW of power. It hooks right up to the truck's batteries.

For those who need more protection, there's the Sting Protector. It's got everything from the Baja version plus some serious armor. The steel plating bolts on and off and can stop bullets from a 7.62mm assault rifle. This version's aimed at private folks, companies, and government customers who might find themselves in dicey situations.

At the top of the line, there's the Sting APC. APC stands for Armored Personnel Carrier, and it lives up to the name. It's got everything from the other two versions, plus even more armor. This beast can shrug off rounds from a 14.5mm heavy machine gun. The underneath has a special V-shape to protect against mines and IEDs. The makers say it can survive a blast from an improvised explosive device.

Now, all this protection doesn't come cheap. While the companies aren't giving exact prices, they hint that the full upgrade package will set you back more than $50,000. And that's on top of the price of the Cybertruck itself.
