Polestar has started delivering its new Polestar 4 model to customers in Germany, Norway, and Sweden. The company plans to speed up deliveries across other European markets in the coming weeks.

This marks a big step for Polestar as they expand their product lineup and market presence. The Polestar 4 is an SUV coupé that sits between the Polestar 2 mid-size saloon and the larger Polestar 3 SUV.

Thomas Ingenlath, Polestar's CEO, shared his thoughts on this milestone:

"With Polestar 3 on the road since summer, this is the next important milestone for us in 2024 as we make our first European deliveries of Polestar 4 and give our customers even more choice. With three models, Polestar is positioning itself as the design-led premium luxury electric car brand in the global EV market."

The Polestar 4 comes with some interesting features. It doesn't have a rear window, instead using a virtual rear window and a digital rear-view mirror. The car also has adjustable rear seats, adding to its comfort and versatility.

Under the hood, the all-wheel drive version packs a punch with 400 kW of power and 686 Nm of torque. A rear-wheel drive version with 200 kW and 343 Nm will be released later. The car's 102 kWh battery can take you up to 600 kilometres on a single charge.

Polestar isn't stopping here. They're planning to start production of the Polestar 4 in Busan, South Korea in the second half of 2025. This new production site will serve both local and North American markets, with Renault Korea Motors handling the manufacturing.

As Polestar continues to grow, they're positioning themselves as a premium brand in the electric vehicle market. With the Polestar 2, 3, and now 4 on the roads, they're offering more choices to customers who want stylish, high-performance electric cars.

Looking ahead, Polestar is already working on their next model, the Polestar 5. This saloon will follow in the Polestar 4's footsteps by not having a traditional rear window, further cementing the brand's unique design approach in the luxury EV segment.
