This tire is the second version of Goodyear's popular Assurance WeatherReady line. It's made for family sedans and crossovers, with 58 sizes available. Drivers can find options for rims from 16 to 22 inches in diameter.
Goodyear says the new tire leads the pack in key areas. They tested it against similar tires from Michelin, Bridgestone, and Pirelli. The company claims the Assurance WeatherReady 2 did better in wet handling, wet braking, and dry handling. But keep in mind, real-world results might be different.
The tire also got a special snow rating. It passed a test that shows it can handle snowy roads better than a regular all-season tire. This makes it an "all-weather" tire. Still, if you live where it snows a lot, you might want to stick with dedicated winter tires.

Goodyear redesigned the tread pattern for this new version. They also added a handy feature - a built-in wear gauge. This lets drivers check how much tread is left as the tire gets older.
For drivers worried about how long the tires will last, Goodyear offers some peace of mind. The Assurance WeatherReady 2 comes with a 60,000-mile tread-life warranty.
