The Seal 06 GT maintains the overall design language of the concept but features a more restrained exterior. Sporty elements like aggressive aero components and the prominent rear wing have been scaled back or removed entirely. The front and rear bumpers incorporate subtle sporty intakes, and the LED designs on the headlights and taillights have been simplified alongside more conventional side mirrors.
Inside, the hatchback adopts the digital cockpit, steering wheel, and switchgear from the BYD Seal sedan, complemented by a distinct dashboard and climate control vent layout to differentiate it from its sedan counterpart.
Sized between the smaller Dolphin and the larger Seal sedan, the Seal 06 GT measures 4,630 mm (182.3 inches) in length with a 2,820 mm (111 inches) wheelbase. This positions it larger than competitors like the VW ID.3 and MG4 hatchbacks, yet slightly more compact than the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6 crossovers.

Built on BYD's e-Platform 3.0 Evo architecture, the vehicle supports both single-motor rear-wheel-drive and dual-motor all-wheel-drive configurations. According to information from the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, expected power outputs are 215 hp (160 kW / 218 PS) for the single-motor version and 416 hp (310 kW / 422 PS) for the dual-motor setup.
The official launch of the BYD Seal 06 GT is set for August 30, with anticipated pricing between ¥150,000 and ¥200,000 (approximately $21,000 to $28,000). BYD is expected to introduce this model to international markets, including Europe and Australia, in the near future.
