Most people think of armored cars as slow and bulky. U.S. Armor Group wanted to change that idea. They took the already fast Lucid Air Sapphire and made it even more special.
The new armored Lucid keeps its powerful 1,234 horsepower engine. It can go from 0 to 60 mph in just 1.89 seconds. That's incredibly quick for any car, let alone an armored one. The standard Lucid Air Sapphire can reach 205 mph (330 km/h), and this armored version can still go over 200 mph (320 km/h).
But speed isn't everything. U.S. Armor Group added serious protection to the car. They used special lightweight windows that can stop .44 Magnum bullets. The body got extra armor too. This armor is 10 times stronger than regular ballistic steel but 5 times lighter. All this protection only adds 385 pounds (175 kg) to the car's weight.
The car isn't just tough on the outside. It's smart too. It has a system that keeps its internet connection safe from hackers. It can also scan for nearby threats and gather information from over a million sources, including police and fire scanners.
If you want one of these super-fast armored cars, it'll cost you. The price starts at $475,000, which is almost twice as much as the regular Lucid Air Sapphire. But for that money, you get a car that's both very fast and very safe.
U.S. Armor Group offers some extra options too. You can get even stronger armor that protects against grenades and high-powered rifles. There are also some James Bond-style additions like electric-shock door handles and pepper spray dispensers.
