The new Duster comes with several engine options. The base model, Expression, features a 99bhp four-cylinder Bi-Fuel engine that runs on petrol or LPG. This version can go 800 miles without refueling, according to official tests.
For those wanting a hybrid, Dacia offers a mild-hybrid option starting at £21,245. This setup includes a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine, a 48V electric motor, and a 0.9kWh battery. Customers can also opt for a four-wheel drive version of this mild-hybrid, priced from £23,445.
Dacia has stopped offering the 88bhp three-cylinder turbo petrol engine, which previously started at £17,970. They've also discontinued diesel engines due to falling demand in Europe.
2025 Dacia Duster
The new Duster now uses the CMF-B platform, the same one used in the Nissan Juke. This change brings better practicality, refinement, and driving dynamics. It also allows for hybrid powertrains while keeping the Duster's compact size.
Four-wheel drive is only available with the mild-hybrid powertrain. The system has two modes: Auto and Off-Road. In Auto mode, the car mostly uses front-wheel drive, sending power to the rear when needed. Off-Road mode actively splits power between front and rear axles, replacing the old 4x4 Lock mode.
Dacia has added hill descent control to the new Duster. This feature works in all gears and keeps the speed under 18mph when going downhill.
The 4x4 models have 217mm of ground clearance, 8mm more than front-wheel-drive versions. They also boast approach and departure angles of 31 and 36 degrees, respectively.
