Google searches for upcoming cars show that electric vehicles (EVs) are getting a lot of attention in the United States. This happens even though some news outlets talk about an "EV slowdown."

Car leasing company Xcite looked at Google search data to find out which new cars people are most curious about. They found that 7 out of the 10 most searched upcoming cars are electric.

The Lucid Gravity, an electric SUV, tops the list with 40,500 monthly searches. It's followed by the Fisker Pear, which gets 18,100 searches each month. The Pear was supposed to be an affordable electric crossover priced under $30,000. But Fisker went bankrupt, so this car won't be made. People still search for it a lot, though.

Other popular EVs in the top five include the Cadillac Escalade IQ (14,800 searches), the Jeep Recon (12,100 searches), and the Kia EV5 (9,900 searches).

The BMW M5 is the first non-electric car on the list, coming in sixth with 8,100 monthly searches. The Honda Prelude 2025 and Ferrari 12 Cilindri are the only other non-EVs in the top 10.

The most searched-for upcoming cars in the U.S. (average monthly searches):

This data shows that people want to know more about electric cars that will be available soon. It seems like the move towards electric vehicles is still going strong, at least when it comes to what people are searching for online.
