The company will make 250 of these limited-edition models based on the 2025 X5 xDrive40i. Buyers can choose between two colors that nod to the original X5 from 1999: Oxford Green II Metallic and Le Mans Blue Metallic.
Each color comes with its own interior setup. The green version gets Coffee Sensafin upholstery with Fineline Stripe Brown High-Gloss trim. The blue one pairs Silverstone Sensafin seats with Poplar Grain Anthracite Brown Open-Pored trim.
On the outside, the Edition 25 Jahre mixes things up. It has black exterior trim from the M Sport package and aluminum-style accents on the bumpers and rocker panels from the xLine package. The SUV rolls on 21-inch Orbit Grey wheels with a Y-spoke design.
2025 BMW X5 Edition 25 Jahre
BMW packed this X5 with lots of standard features. It comes with the xOffroad Package, which adds air suspension, a locking rear differential, and extra protection underneath. Drivers can pick from four off-road modes: xSnow, xSand, xGravel, and xRocks.
Inside, passengers will enjoy heated seats, armrests, and steering wheel. The SUV also has a Harman-Kardon sound system and BMW's latest tech, including the Curved Display with a head-up display and augmented-reality navigation.
The X5 Edition 25 Jahre will cost CA$102,500, which is about US$75,327. That's a premium over the regular X5, but you're getting a piece of BMW history.
Since the first X5 rolled off the line in 1999, BMW has made nearly 3 million of them at its Spartanburg plant in South Carolina. The X5 Edition 25 Jahre is a nod to that success and the model's enduring popularity.
