YouTubers BigBankz and Silent Hills Explorations made the unexpected discovery. They came across the neglected vehicle while exploring the abandoned property. The BMW sat in the garage, covered in dust, alongside die-cast and model cars.
The E34 M5 sports a black exterior with an ivory leather interior. It's equipped with BMW's S38 inline-six engine and a manual transmission, sending power to the rear wheels. Oddly, the car has a German front license plate and a Georgia (US) rear plate.
Rumors suggest the previous owner was a doctor. Some neighbors claim they last saw them in 2015, but there's no solid proof to back this up. The reason for abandoning such a valuable car and property remains a mystery.
BMW produced the E34 M5 from 1988 to 1995. US buyers could get their hands on the model from 1991 to 1993. These American versions came with a 3.5-liter straight-six engine, pumping out 310 hp and 265 lb-ft of torque.
Outside the US, BMW offered a wagon version called the Touring. They also sold an upgraded 3.8-liter engine in some markets, boosting power to 335 hp (340 PS). US emissions regulations kept these variants from crossing the pond.
While newer M5s outperform it, the E34 M5 holds a special place in BMW's history. It paved the way for future generations of the high-performance sedan.
