The AYGO X, introduced in 2022, is Toyota's A-segment crossover designed by the company's European stylists. It's aimed at style-conscious buyers, offering a youthful and fun character with a confident driving position and spacious interior.
JBL's sound system for the AYGO X wasn't just an afterthought. Engineers started working on it during the vehicle's development phase, using virtual models to determine the best equipment setup. They focused on creating a lightweight system to maintain fuel efficiency and keep emissions low.
The sound system boasts two full-range speakers in the front doors, two 25-millimetre tweeters in the A pillars, and a 200mm subwoofer in the rear. A 300W, six-channel amplifier sits under the passenger seat. JBL claims the setup delivers a wide sound stage with powerful bass and clear, dynamic sound that's perfect for rock and pop music.
The special edition AYGO X stands out with its Jasmine Silver paint job and bi-tone black accents. It sports black decorative elements on the front, rear, and side underruns, with the bi-tone coloring extending to the rear and merging with the side rockers and front wheel arches. The 18-inch alloy wheels come in black and Dark Jasmine, while a JBL logo adorns the rear.
Inside, you'll find premium color-matched seat trim with the JBL logo. The car comes equipped with Toyota Smart Connect, offering both wired and wireless smartphone connectivity through Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. A 10.5-inch high-definition touchscreen display unit rounds out the tech features.
To celebrate the launch, Toyota has created a special playlist called "The Sound of Noise." The playlist aims to showcase the Aygo X JBL's character and its premium sound system through a mix of stimulating, relaxing, and informative tracks.
