Toyota Gazoo Racing and MoneyGram Haas F1 Team have joined forces in a new technical partnership. The collaboration aims to give young Japanese talent a chance to shine in Formula 1.

The deal will see Toyota's logo make a comeback to F1, but not as a full-fledged return. Instead, it's part of a knowledge transfer and training initiative. Toyota Gazoo Racing personnel will get hands-on experience with Haas F1, including test drives and work on data-heavy race engineering. This experience will also help Toyota's vehicle development programs.

On the flip side, Haas F1 will benefit from Toyota's technical know-how. The American team will get support in aerodynamics and component development. Toyota Gazoo Racing drivers will take part in test drives, while engineers will work on aerodynamics. Mechanics will help design and make carbon-fiber components.

However, Toyoda still believes the decision to leave F1 in 2009 wasn't wrong. Toyota Chairman Akio Toyoda asked the media not to use clickbait titles like "Toyota finally returns to F1." Instead, he wants to inspire Japanese children to dream of driving the world's fastest cars.

The partnership won't affect Haas F1's existing relationship with Ferrari, who will continue to supply powertrains for their single-seaters.

Visually, the Haas F1 car will sport Toyota Gazoo Racing graphics on the rear wing and a GR emblem on the nose.

Toyota Gazoo Racing is already involved in other motorsports like the World Rally Championship, World Endurance Championship, Dakar Rally, and NASCAR. This new partnership with Haas F1 adds another feather to their cap.
