The Taycan Turbo K-Edition builds on the updated Taycan Turbo, Porsche's first luxury electric car that's been a big hit for the brand. Only 40 of these special models will be made.
Buyers can pick from five exterior colors, including Ruby Red Metallic from Porsche's Paint to Sample Plus program. Other options are Oak Green Metallic, Ipanema Blue Metallic, Macadamia Metallic, and Alex Grey.
The car sports some unique touches. A graphic on the rear wing shows a Korean city skyline. There's also a custom logo based on an old royal Korean stamp. It features 'Taycan' in Korean characters and is hand-painted on the driver's side charging port and embossed on the seat headrests.
The wheels are 21-inch Mission-E style with Turbonite rims, a Satin Black finish, and matching center caps.
Inside, the color scheme depends on the exterior. Ruby Red, Ipanema Blue, and Alex Grey exteriors get a Basalt Black interior. Macadamia and Oak Green exteriors come with Truffle Brown leather.
Special interior features include multi-colored blocks on the seats, Atacama Beige seat belts, and contrasting stitching on the doors, center console, and instrument panel. The Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur logo is embossed on the storage compartment lid, and there are black floor mats with decorative seams.
Holger Gerrmann, Porsche Korea's chief executive, explained the thinking behind the special edition:
"The concept of the Taycan Turbo K-Edition is to lend a visible expression to the close connection between Porsche DNA and Korean society and culture. At the same time, some exterior and interior details highlight, for example, the extensive and high-quality customizations that are possible through the Sonderwunsch programme."
The K-Edition shows off what's possible through Porsche's Sonderwunsch customization program while celebrating the brand's connection with Korean culture.
