Hyundai unveiled its first three-row electric SUV, the Ioniq 9 2025. The new vehicle will compete in the growing electric SUV market, offering a spacious interior, lavish amenities, and an impressive range of over 300 miles on all trims.

Based on Hyundai's E-GMP platform, the Ioniq 9 comes with a 110.3-kilowatt-hour net capacity battery. Drivers can charge the battery from 10% to 80% in just 24 minutes using a 350-kilowatt DC fast charger.

Hyundai will offer the Ioniq 9 in three different powertrain configurations. The Long Range Single Motor version features rear-wheel drive, producing 215 horsepower and 350 Nm (258 pound-feet) of torque. It boasts an estimated range of 335 miles.

The Long Range Dual Motor and Dual Motor Performance models both come with all-wheel drive. The Long Range Dual Motor puts out 310 horsepower and 603 Nm (445 pound-feet) of torque. The Performance version ups the ante with 430 horsepower and 700 Nm (515 pound-feet) of torque, allowing it to sprint from 0-60 mph in 4.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 124 mph.
Hyundai hasn't released specific range figures for the dual-motor variants yet, but they've confirmed all models will exceed 300 miles on a single charge. The Ioniq 9 can also tow up to 2270 kg (5,000 pounds), making it versatile for family trips and outdoor adventures.

Inside, the Ioniq 9 offers seating for six or seven passengers, depending on the chosen layout. The interior features sustainably sourced materials, including recycled polyethylene terephthalate fabric and wool.

"We've designed the Ioniq 9 with comfort and convenience in mind," a Hyundai spokesperson said. "From the relaxation seats with dynamic touch massage in the second row to the flat-laying seats in the first and second rows, we want passengers to feel at home on the road."The second-row seats can swivel to face the third row when the vehicle is stationary, creating a lounge-like atmosphere. With 80.7 inches of combined legroom in the second and third rows and a completely flat floor, passengers will have plenty of space to stretch out.

Technology features include a 12.0-inch central touchscreen and a 12.0-inch digital instrument cluster. The standard audio system comes with eight speakers, while audiophiles can opt for a Bose 14-speaker system.

Hyundai plans to reveal more details about the Ioniq 9 early next year. With its combination of range, space, and luxury features, the Ioniq 9 looks set to make a significant impact in the electric SUV market.
