American cops from May 2025 will be able to get on the new Honda NT1100 Police, designed specifically for the needs of law enforcement agencies. This motorbike is based on the European version of the NT1100, but with modifications to suit the needs of the US police.

The Honda NT1100 Police is lighter and more manoeuvrable than the ST1300, which has been the choice of police officers for many years. The bike is powered by a 1,084cc twin-cylinder engine from Honda Africa Twin, producing 101bhp and 104Nm of torque. In comparison, the ST1300's figures were higher at 125bhp and 115N-m, but the new bike weighs considerably less: 257kg with a full tank versus 320kg.

For the convenience of patrolling Honda has added an adjustable windscreen, soft seat, protective fairings, a briefcase, LED optics, engine protection, a document box and a number of other useful accessories. A full range of optional modifications can be ordered through dealers.

The NT1100 Police is equipped with a 6-speed manual gearbox, 17-inch wheels (120/70 front and 180/55 rear), Showa shock absorbers and a powerful braking system with 310mm discs at the front and 256mm at the rear. Four-piston calipers on the front wheel are complemented by single-piston calipers on the rear wheel.

One of the features of this model is a six-axis inertia unit (IMU) that adjusts the ABS depending on the angle of the bike. There's also cruise control, multiple riding modes and a 6.5-inch touchscreen display.

The recommended retail price of the Honda NT1100 Police is $14,499.
