The system consists of a compact projection unit located in the roof lining of the vehicle. The glass is tinted to ensure perfect visibility of the image. The projector displays high-resolution content visible from the outside. The device itself takes up less than half a litre of volume, and Continental is already working on an even more compact version.
The eTravel.companion's integrated artificial intelligence offers a personalised approach to content. It can display the battery charge of the electric car, inform about the route and stops for charging or offer a display of the logo of a favourite sports team if the system recognises that the driver is heading to the stadium.
The projection system will be unveiled at CES 2025 in Las Vegas. About possible dates of appearance of the new technology in serial cars Continental, unfortunately, did not inform.
