The published image shows a streamlined silhouette, low roof and textured body sides. Toyota promises that the novelty will be spacious, comfortable and emotionally appealing. The name of the model has not been disclosed yet, but there is a good chance that it will not get the "bZ" index. According to rumours, even the older bZ4X crossover will change its name to a simpler one already this year.
Toyota bZ Compact SUV Concept
In terms of dimensions, the production electric crossover could be shorter and lower than the Toyota bZ4X - the 2022 concept was 4.54m long and 1.56m high, which is 152mm shorter and 90mm lower than Toyota's current electric crossover.
Toyota hasn't revealed technical details yet, but we can focus on the recently introduced Urban Cruiser EV, which has two battery options: 49 kWh and 61 kWh.
If the new crossover gets similar powertrains, the expected figures are as follows:
- Front-wheel-drive version - 144 hp (106 kW) or 174 hp (128 kW), depending on the battery.
- All-wheel drive version - 184 hp (135 kW).
More details, including official name, range and specs, will be revealed on 11 March.
