The Kia PV5 is the first electric vehicle in the Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) family. It is a versatile electric commercial platform that will be adaptable to meet the diverse needs of business and private customers.

Kia's new PV5 family of electric vehicles was officially unveiled at the "Kia EV Day 2025" event in Spain. By default, the PV5 is a mid-sized commercial model. Thanks to its modular design, Kia offers three main versions:

  • PV5 Passenger - a passenger version with a three-seat layout optimised for transfers, taxis and camping.
  • PV5 Cargo - cargo version with up to 5.1m³ of cargo volume, available in standard, extended and tall versions.
  • PV5 Chassis Cab - Chassis Cab for deep customisation, suitable for reefers, cargo platforms, campers, etc.

There will also be conversion models, including a version for people with disabilities (WAV), a camper, a freezer van and a premium Prime variant.

The following batteries are available:

  • 51.5 kWh or 71.2 kWh (NCM) for all versions.
  • 43.3 kWh (LFP) is an optional version for the PV5 Cargo.

Fast charging of 10-80% in 30 minutes is supported. The range is up to 400 kilometres (for PV5 Passenger with 71.2 kWh battery).

The engine is mounted at the front. It develops 120 kW (161 hp) and 250 Nm.

Sales of the Kia PV5 will start in Korea and Europe in the second half of 2025. Launch in other markets is planned for 2026.

Pre-orders will open in the first half of 2025. Conversion versions will be released gradually until 2026.
